ABOUT ME

I am a Tampa native, Florida-licensed mental health counselor, nationally certified counselor, and former registered play therapist.  I attended the University of South Florida (USF), where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and my Master's Degree in School and Community Counseling. After earning my Master's Degree, I returned to USF to earn a graduate certificate in play therapy. I later returned to receive training in Family Mediation and Parent Coordination from the USF Conflict Resolution Collaborative. I also have specialized training in Gottman Couples Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

I have presented workshops at the Florida Counseling Association and Florida School Counselor Association's annual conferences. I have been invited to be a guest speaker for counseling students at USF and Argosy University, and I have been asked to present talks on topics of interest to other counselors, educators and parents.

My professional career includes teaching at the high school and middle school levels, and ten years of school counseling at the Pre-K through 8th grade levels. I opened my private counseling practice in the south Tampa area in 2008. I currently provide Telehealth counseling for Florida residents.

I am a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Suncoast Mental Health Counselors Association, where I served as secretary for three years.
